Il Borro is an act of faith that takes us back in time. This Tuscan village built with patience and will hundreds of years ago has not so much been untouched by the hand of man since, but caressed by it.

Imagine if you will an early morning at the Borro, the rooftops just visible through the ribbons of mist, the surrounding woods reflecting a golden aura, hearing your first steps on stone - a sound swallowed by the city every day.

As you move with the sunlight over the bridge you can hear the mocking call of the peacocks, laughter of the pheasants and homely cooing of the pigeons who nest just under where you stand. Look up now for your first full view of a place that will achieve an inevitable familiarity in your heart and mind. The simple act of breathing in the warm fragrances of rosemary, sage and flowers reawaken sensations and memories long lost - the tranquil atmosphere being almost at odds with the excited babbling of the brook far below - these are the sights and sounds of centuries past.

The holiday houses although differing in individual character have all been restored with comfort and practicality in mind.
All apartments have fitted modern kitchens with washing machine, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, hob-cooker, crockery and utensils.
Luxurious bathrooms contain shower, bath, faucet units, toilet and bidet and fresh towels are provided.
Bedrooms have either queen size double or two large single beds which are made up prior to arrival with fresh linen appropriate to the season. Each house also has satellite TV, safe, telephone, hairdryer, ironing facilities and use of a swimming pool during the summer months.

Whilst at Il Borro guests are encouraged to take advantage of the considerable amenities on offer. There are so many things to see and do, exploring the village, country walks and swimming being the obvious but thanks to the fantastic surroundings sporting activities on the estate are varied and we are sure to find something to suit everyone's taste!

For any (or all) of these activities we ask guests to book at reception as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
A comprehensive range of services are available during your stay at Il Borro, some of which are included in the accommodation package, others will be provided upon request.

Maid Service
We have a lively team of ladies who will come every day (except Sundays - public holidays) to clean your apartment during your stay, this is included in the price of the accommodation.
All apartments are thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival, and all bedroom and bathroom linens will be fresh from the laundry.

Babysitting
Our priority, like all Italians is the family unit, however we also understand that Mum and Dad would like a break now and then. When this is the case you simply need to make a booking for one of our experienced lady babysitters (all Mothers themselves) to come to your apartment and look after the children.
Whether for a romantic evening out or a cultural day trip which may bore the kids the ladies are happy to oblige.

Upon your arrival you will be presented with a welcome pack which contains information on Il Borro, useful phone numbers, good restaurants, museums and galleries. If however, you would like help planning day trips, directions, finding the best shopping areas, suggestions on how to find places "off the beaten track", interesting activities or places to go with the children please give us a call.
