"Le Filigare" crowns the top of a hill in the Chianti Classico region. One has a magnificent view from the beautiful valleys of Castellina in Chianti to the charming village of San Donato in Poggio.

"Le Filigare" is an antique hamlet: the centrally situated main house, with the large green courtyard in front of it, is surrounded by the smaller adjacent buildings: old barn, farmhouses, a pretty chapel surrounded by cypresses and a garden pavilion. The gardens are immense: neat lawns and flower beds surround the various houses and paths; vineyards, olive groves and woods gently merge into the open, Mediterranean landscape.

A 2 km private gravel road leads to the hamlet. The estate stretches across 60 acres of farmland which lies 300–400 meters above sea level. The wide view over the hills is outstanding. The home-made wine is also excellent. The fattoria (farm) products can be purchased in the hamlet: Chianti Classico, table wines, vintages, white wines, Vinsanto, Grappa and olive oil.
The estate houses are all built of stone. The individual apartments are in the main and adjacent buildings. In the design of the apartments great care was taken to ensure a maximum of room and privacy.

Extensive outdoor areas provide enough variety: mountain bikes can be hired, there are hiking trails on the estate and you may stroll through the olive groves and vineyards surrounding the farm, there is a children’s play area, hard tennis court, a barbecue and, of course, a large pool. The pool is a proud 16x8 meters of which a small area (4x2) is designed as a baby pool. The pool is about 300 m from the main house – on a large, sunny plateau with a magnificent view in all directions. You can even enjoy the magnificent view of the valley from the water. So get those suitcases packed and don’t forget the swimsuits!

Le Filigare offers plenty of activities for it's guests: a barbecue, a splendid garden, a small chapel, even a play area for children. There is an area reserved just for parking.

At a distance of 3 Km horses are available that one can rent for riding. There are trails for hiking. Moutain bikes are available for rent.

At 200 meters, in a area with a bright sweeping view of the valleys below, one finds the tennis court and the two pools: one for adults (16x8 meters) and one for children (4x2).

And of course, Le filigare's wonderful wines and oils can be bought on the estate.

San Donato in Poggio with its facilities is at just 3 km, Castellina in Chianti at 13 km, Siena and Florence are both at 30 km.

Querce 1 and Querce 2 are both in an adjacent building opposite the main house – in an old barn which has recently been redecorated.
