| Chateau Mauras domain owns 24 hectares on
the Bommes commune in the appellation area of the Sauternes. This
19th century Chateau sleeps 8-10 people and is one of the most
magnificent residences in the area. It lies in the
heart of its vineyard and has a a shaded park with a river running through
it and swimming pool surrounded by a large terrace. The whole estate is bordered by
a stone wall.
To the front and sides of the Château are the vineyards, and to the back a large
terrace leads to a private swimming pool (size 10x6m, depth 0.50-2m) with roman
steps and to the River le Ciron which extends to the north-west edge of the
property. You can fish and swim in the river which is located 150m from the
Château and is flanked by beautiful centenary trees. From the back of the house
there are very pleasant views of the grounds towards the river.

| The Chateau has 450 m2 of living space and can accomodate
10 people. There
are 3 elegantly furnished reception rooms downstairs aswell as
the summer rooms which lead directly onto the terrace.
There are 5 double bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom, 2 bathrooms, 1 shower room and 3 separate wcs.

The closest shops and restaurants can be found in
the attractive wine-producing town of Sauternes (3km), and the town of Langon (7km) offers a
wider selection of shops and supermarkets, tennis courts, horse riding, bike hire,
and various music festivals. There are leisure lakes at Hostens (15km; swimming,
fishing) and at Lacanau (80km; swimming, windsurfing, water skiing). Swimming,
fishing and canoeing are possible at Villandraut on the Ciron River, the same
river which runs along the edge of the property. Villandraut boasts a
beautiful Château well worth visiting. There are beaches 80km away at Arcachon, Cap
Ferret and Lacanau, and 18 hole golf courses near Sauternes 10km away and at
Bordeaux (40km).
